The word LED is an acronym for “Light-Emitting Diode”. Power LEDs are semiconductors made of a substrate of silicon carbide, with stratified layers of gallium nitrate. A LED makes use of the “electroluminescence” phenomenon in which light is generated by the emission of radiations (photons), produced by the recombination of electrons and holes, when the junction is directly polarized.
Thanks to L&L Luce&Light, LED becomes a source of light which defines and characterizes every kind of place. The purpose is the use of technologies which make the lighting devices more and more efficient and environmentally friendly. The elevated quality of the elements employed, the design carried out through a highly qualified internal department and the modernly conceived systems contribute to the production of high-efficiency LED lamps. This allows L&L Luce&Light to fulfil successfully its customers’needs both in the civil and domestic lighting field. Our products are guaranteed and CE certified, complying with the CEI laws concerning the lighting systems and satisfy the 60598 CEI requisites.

LED emitters of L&L Luce&Light lamps grant the highest lighting flux among those ones available in today’s market and allow to realize the brightest solutions of technical lighting at solid status. High-efficiency LEDs produce more than 80 lumen/W and are up to 10/20 times brighter than standard LEDs. Our LEDs are based on a solid status technology called “opposite pyramid”, similar to that one used in the Silicon Valley laboratories to manufacture microprocessors.

Unlike the traditional lighting sources, being LEDs available at solid status, they do not contain moving components that may get broken, thus granting a high reliability level for a long time.

The high efficiency of LEDs assures extremely reduced functioning charges (lighting power being equal) if compared to any other lighting source, including the so-called energy saving ones. In comparison with a traditional incandescent lamp the functioning charges decrease up to 75%.

As our LEDs last at least 15 times longer than a traditional lighting source, this means that there is no need to replace them, thus cancelling maintenance charges due to periodical bulb replacing. Working at a constant voltage with a very low tension (3,5 Vdc) our LEDs guarantee the highest safety levels.

The lighting beam of these LEDs does not emit either UV or IR rays.
As opposed to the majority of fluorescent lamps, LEDs do not contain mercury.

Our LEDs do not have starting up problems, not even in very cold environments which may reach -40° C.
